Because the true gift of love is actually loving, love itself. And I realize now that no matter how bad or how much I would want you to love me back, I am completely okay with loving you without reciprocity. It’s like a Christmas gift, you give it because you want to and receiving a gift back is just extra, you don’t need it to be happy. So, I love you.
